Dimanche dernier, youpiyoupi, mon ♥ & moi sommes allées bruncher, oh yeah. Last sunday, my ♥ took me out to brunch -and out means freeeezing cold out, so it had better be G☼❆D.

Ce ne fut pas un bon brunch, ce fut un délicieux moment, à l’intérieur de nos ventres, dans nos bouches, et tout autour de nous aussi.

Although the cold was leaning against us in there too, we couldn’t unglue ourselves from the place. Felt like a weekend at your grandma’s house, and a holiday in Sweden… C’était si bien, si bon, si comme chez ta grand-mère idéale… On serait bien restées jusqu’au lundi. On avait juste un peu froid, même là -et ça, chez Mamie, ça serait pas arrivé.

Moi, je vais me faire quelques brocolis vapeur et rêver à mon prochain brunch de fête… Now i just have to find a good alibi for my next brunch there…

Ce dimanche, Paris faisait la belle dans ses gazes de presque neige et ses dessous de chinchilla. This sunday was ice cold and ice beautiful, as twinkling as an icelandic iceberg.

C’était beau, et notre sourire menaçait de faire sauter l’émail de nos dents. Our smiles and laughters sounded like exploding icecubes on an iced pavement.

Je vous en dirai plus demain, là je dois aller réchauffer mes oreilles, hihi, youpi! I’ll tell and show you more tomorrow, right now i’m off to heat up my ears, hehe!

how are you, « all » of you?

I guess most of you are hiding under a huge pile of duvets and blankets and cushions and sheepskins, aren’t you? I ache for travel, right now, i’d love to hop on a plane to Bangkok, my beloved favourite city in the world i know (and i still haven’t seen New York, Tokyo, Montreal, or Delhi, Zanzibar and so on..).

I guess i’ve already said it, but maybe i haven’t, but i love flowers . Fresh ones, cut ones (although i guess in some way it must not be good for my flower karma), alive ones, and i even love « dead flowers« . I mean old, cut ones. The ones you’re supposed to throw away.

At work, i get a massive bunch of flowers every week, as i’m surrounded by fifteen different vases or more. Everytime, i take a picture of the leaving old flowers. I find them even more inspiring… I mean, who knows where Flowers’ Heaven is? In which part of the sky?

+ What are these magic branches up there? I don’t know their name or anything about them, except they’re fabulous, and growing in a garden near mine. They should be called HOPE or something, don’t you think?

Have a w.a.r.m weekend, you little bears ***

Some night, a beautiful friend and i went to have a drink… Our usual wine bar being full, we ended in the semi-good looking american restaurant near « our » wine bar.

As i read « fish’n'chips » on the menu, i couldn’t help ordering it, for the sake of my good old au pair time in London. Mouth watering images of fried fish wrapped in newspaper and oily chips sprinkled with vinegar started dancing before my eyes…

The parisian reality was far less mouth watering and way more deceiving, but then again i figured we were in an american restaurant, not an english one…

My friend’s « american » order (avocado & bacon bagel with hashbrown and coleslaw) was delicious, she said.

We really should have had a cheesecake in the end, but hey, we were only supposed to share a glass of wine at first, so we behaved reasonably when the waiter offered us the dessert menu. (Although i must admit i said « no » only because my friend said so first, ahem…)

+ I know it’s very bad, but i took this picture of that beautiful lady without asking her. If by chance you, beautiful lady, read this, please contact me. Your hair was so amazingly styled and your attitude was such a painting like one, i just couldn’t help. And then i didn’t dare telling you. Sorry. >>> But don’t you think she’s lovely?

Paris est glacée, mon énergie est partie en vacances ou tombée dans le cagibi du travail, Walking hands  deeply tucked in your pockets, hat down til the eyes, thinking about the arctic expeditions and realising a tiny tiny little bit how terrible that cold must be…

tout concoure à donner envie de retourner remplir ses yeux d’océan. Makes me want to fill my eyes up with ocean again…

Besitos aquaticos, amigos***

(Oh, and no, i have nothing to say about Justin Bieber! Absolutely nothing! Hahahaha)

Frappée par la foudre de la folie, j’ai sauté dans un train pour 24 heures au bord de ma mère… Suddenly striken by madness, i went on an express trip to the ocean (and to my mum’s).

Ce fut aussi court que bref, mais aussi, en plus, vraiment bien. L’océan, la bruine, l’air marin… It was short and quick, but very good too. Surprisingly sweet i should say.

You know how awkward it can be, sometimes, when you should have done something for so long and kept postponing it, and when you miss some people and can’t really find a « good » way to say it…

Have a sweet evening and day and the next ones too ***

I spent a nice freezing cold sunday visiting two friend’s homes.

And i got offered a delicious « rat meal » (a meal made of rat, not a meal made by a rat):

And some cookie on which the chef suggested you pour some more honey -just in case you were needing more sugar.

With the cold finally landing on Paris, i tell you, we all need some good meals to keep ourselves warm!

2011 was a « moving » year -in all sorts of ways. I moved house -way too often. Too much. I’ve always done so, but this time, when i stopped with all my cardboard boxes and things in this delicious tiny parisian house (with a garden!), i said « Here i’m gonna stay. For months and months on. I want to settle down. » Now i know i’m not a settling down person. But i do enjoy feeling comfortable inside, sometimes… Here are bits of what made me feel comfy these days, inside my own tiny home.

You can’t see it, but there were some sparkles of pinkish light lining on these subtle clouds, i swear!
