Rien à voir avec rien, mais ici, chez moi, nous avons décidé de faire place neuve. Nothing to do with anything, but here at home, we’ve decided to have a giant home cleaning.

Régulièrement une tornade qui m’habite sort de moi-même et tente de faire le vide dans ma maison. Si j’y arrivais, je balancerais tout TOUT tout. Absolument tout. Reularly i feel this urge to throw evvvvvverything away. EvErYtHiNg.

Sauf notre collection de bédés. Sauf les chats. Sauf quelques habits. Et sauf la machine à laver. Sauf mon ordi et mon appareil photo évidemment, et sauf aussi les toupies multicolores que j’aime. Et je garderais mon vase préféré et les petites cuillères en porcelaine, naturellement. Except for our fantastic comics collection. Except for the cats. Except for some clothes. And the washing machine. And obviously, my computer and camera. And i’d keep my beutiful spinning tops, every one of them. And the splendid porcelain tea spoons. Obviously.

Bref, comme je vous entends le penser de ma table à motif surplombant mon sol à motifs (trop de motifs, trop de motifs!), ça va pas être facile. … … Well, je ne dis pas que la tâche est aisée. Mais elle est courageuse. Le courage c’est quand on fait un truc qu’on pensait pas pouvoir faire, c’est ça? Alors oui, c’est courageux. I can hear you think right now « this won’t be easy »… Well no, i regularly WANT TO do it. And i do attempt to do it. But it’s not an easy task. I hate keeping too many things, and i can’t help aquiring new things, still. Sometimes. Too often anyway. I’m much better at not consuming than i used to, but no, it’s not easy for me to live the frugal way…

Dans quelques jours partiront de chez nous un fabuleux rocking chair jaune (dont je n’ai jamais changé les coussins affreusement bordeaux, certes), un splendide pouf géant (à base de futon plié en 4, bon…), une étagère oui 14 que je déteste. Pas assez de choses à mon goût mais en même temps, trop de vide d’un coup, ça peut déstabiliser. Si si. In a few days a nice yellow rocking chair will leave my house. That’s because an awful ancient dark shelf will go too. It’s Lisa’s, and i hate it. I loved my rocking chair, but she hates it. So… And some other things will go too. I wish we were able to throw away (or give or sell or whatever) more things, but we’re still working on that.

Je ne suis pas sûre que tout ça soit d’un intérêt majeur, mais toute cette chaleur et ce ciel bleu et ces fleurs roses dans le jardin me donnent envie d’un nouveau départ. Et ça, j’avais envie de vous le faire savoir. Pas que ça vous passionne, sans doute pas, mais c’est comme un nouveau jouet: J’ai tellement hâte de le mettre en route que je ne peux pas parler d’autre chose. I’m not sure all this is very interesting for you, but i can’t help looking forward to all that brand new clean empty space, and i needed to tell you. How do you manage space in your homes? Are you a keeping person? An empty white space one?

Sur ces entrefaites, je vais sortir au jardin respirer à plein poumons l’air de l’été* …And now i’m gonna go out in the garden and fill my lungs up with all that extremely delicious summery air! Smells soooo good… All that sun, and infinite blue sky, and all those flowers, and barbecues (we had our first one yesterday night, yay!), and light, and happiness floating around make me want to CHANGE. For the best!

-and as you can see, i spied on my incredible neighbour! Her name is Léontine, she’s 94 years old and still lives on her own, walks to the supermarket… and wears lace grannies panties!
